Dr. April Calton

Dr. Calton is part of a Odenton area tradition of dental comfort & care. She has dedicated her professional career to providing you with only the best that dentistry has to offer. Dr. Calton continually educates herself & her staff on the newest dental advances & techniques to provide you with the most advanced, antiseptic, personalized & comfortable care.

She is a graduate of the New York University College of Dentistry. For six years in a row, Dr. Calton has been voted Top Dentist in Annapolis by What’s Up? Magazine & was voted one of America’s Top Dentists for the past eight years by the Consumers’ Research Council of America.

Dr. Dennis Cherry

Dr. Cherry was born & raised in western Pennsylvania. He attended Duquesne University & received a bachelor of arts degree in biology & a minor in chemistry. He then moved to Philadelphia & attended the Temple University School of Dentistry where he received his DMD degree in 2001. He continued his dental training for one year at Temple’s Advanced Education in General Dentistry program.

He moved to Southern California with his girlfriend (& now wife) in 2002. He practiced there for three years before settling down in Maryland in 2005. Dr. Cherry is married to his wife, Ora, & has three kids, Elise, Parker & Brady. In his free time he enjoys spending time with his family, playing golf, watching sports & cooking.

Dr. Donald A. Worm, Jr.

Dr. Worm was raised in the small town of Manistee, Michigan & earned a degree in biology from Alma College in central Michigan. He earned his DDS degree from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. He also holds a Master’s degree from George Washington University, is certified by the American Board of General Dentistry & is a Master of the Academy of General Dentistry.

He served as a Dental Corps Officer in the Navy for 30 years, including assignments onboard the aircraft carrier USS Enterprise, as the Officer in Charge of the Presidential Dental Support Team for President George W. Bush & deployment in Afghanistan during Operation Enduring Freedom where he helped develop health care standards for the Afghan Army & police.

Dr. Worm has three grown children & lives in Severna Park, Maryland. His hobbies include racing sailboats, golfing, attending dance & ballet performances & tailgating at Navy & Michigan football games. Go Navy! Beat Army!

Favorite restaurant: The Boatyard, Yellow Fin & Cantler’s for dinner. Chick & Ruth’s for breakfast/lunch.
Favorite city to visit: I love to go into DC, but I also love visiting Chicago.
Favorite sports team: Detroit Lions & Tigers.
Favorite holiday: Christmas
First job: Working for my dad in his auto repair shop fixing cars & driving the tow truck.
As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up? I always wanted to be in medicine to help people. When I knocked my two front teeth out in third grade I spent a lot of time in the dental chair. I would watch with a mirror the dentist that treated me & that is where I developed my passion for dentistry.
Favorite part about going to the dentist as a child: Being able to watch the dentist work on me.
What is one thing that is always in your refrigerator? A few nice bottles of white wine.
Fun Facts: I was a volunteer fire fighter in high school, as well as when I was home from college on break.

Dr. Lawrence “Chip” Coffin, Jr,

Dr. Coffin grew up in Rockville, MD. He graduated from Western Maryland College having majored in Biology. He attended the University of Maryland School of Dentistry, graduating in 1989. Following dental school, Dr. Coffin continued his education for an additional year in a general practice residency program at Prince George’s Hospital Center, Cheverly, MD.

Dr. Coffin & his wife have been married for 28 years. They have 3 grown sons, 2 daughters-in-law & a large extended family. Dr. Coffin is a drummer & plays percussion for his church worship team & also drums for Bad Medicine; a rock band whose members are all doctors. He loves crab feasts, travel, the outdoors & all things beach!

Kathryn – Hygienist

Kathryn is from Mobile, AL. She attended the University of Maryland where she earned her Bachelor of Science in dental hygiene. In her spare time she likes to monogram things & get a mani/pedi! Kathryn has been married for nine years & has two kids. Her daughter is 3 & a half & her son is almost one. They live on a farm in Western Howard County.

Stefanie is from Centreville, MD. She attended the University of Maryland where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene. In her spare time she likes to spend time with her friends & family. She & her fiance are high school sweethearts. They both have large families including nieces & nephews whom they love to spend time with!

Ashley is from Pasadena, MD. She attended Wesley College & Strayer University where she earned her Bachelor of Business Administration. In her spare time, she enjoys hanging out with friends & family. She also coaches high school cheerleading.

Sarah is from Pasadena, MD where she attended AACC. In her spare time, Sarah enjoys spending time with her kids, camping, going to the beach & crabbing. Sarah has two daughters, Cheyenne who is 4 & Willow who is 1 & a half!

Fun Fact: My sister, Lindsey, works at the Annapolis office. When I first started working there, a lot of the patients thought we were twins but were actually almost 6 years apart in age.

Brooke – Clinical Manager

Brooke is from Centreville, MD. She attended AACC & Chesapeake College. In Brooke’s spare time, she enjoys kickboxing & boxing.

Katrina – Hygienist

Katrina is from Pasadena, MD. She attended the Community College of Baltimore County, where she earned her Associate of Applied Science degree in Dental Hygiene. Katrina loves to spend time with her friends & family. She & her husband enjoy spending time at home with their 1.5-year-old son, dog & two cats.
